Volunteer

YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD or OLDER TO VOLUNTEER

All new cGaming volunteers are required to complete online training, followed by in-centre volunteer orientation [shadow training]. Online training consists of a combination of form entries and training videos.

Once the volunteer completes the online module, they will receive an email [to the email address they entered into the module] indicating they have completed the online portion. An email is automatically sent to the Charity Coordinator at the location the volunteer selected. It is the responsibility of the trainee to notify their charitable organization that they have completed the online training.

The next step of shadow training can be done by an experienced volunteer from the trainee’s organization within 60 days. IF that is not possible, please contact the Charity Coordinator.

ARE YOU IN DRESS CODE?
To provide a professional look for volunteers in our modern gaming facilities a consistent dress code is required. It is important that the volunteers be easily recognized and associated with the charity they are representing. Shirts or vests with charity identification (logos/names) are required for easy recognition of the charities participating. (charity identification should never be covered, kept easily seen by customers)

Step 1

Online Training

The trainee must read the AODA document prior to starting the online training. The AODA document is available at the link above.

After the trainee completes the online portion (click the button below), the charity coordinator  will be notified by email that the trainee is now eligible to do step 2.

Step 2

Shadowing

The trainee should be trained by an experienced volunteer. Shadowing is for the full assignment time and should take place during bingo assignments to provide the best training experience.

The shadowing checklist contains a list of tasks that must be completed during the shadowing session. The trainee will gain experience to do each task confidently and independently.
